Frequently Asked Questions

How is DRYSOL® different from other antiperspirants?

DRYSOL® is a clinical topical antiperspirant for people with excessive sweating or hyperhydrosis. It is different from other clinical strength antiperspirants commonly found in the pharmacy as it can temporarily close the pores of the sweat glands in the lower and middle epidermis. This occlusion lasts until the skin is naturally exfoliated by the physiological regeneration of the skin.

DRYSOL® should be applied to dry skin only at bedtime while your sweat glands are less active

  • Wait for at least two hours after bathing or showering to apply or dry the affected area with a hair dryer (cool setting) to completely dry the skin before application
    • DRYSOL® Dab On – apply to the affected area using the Dab-O-Matic applicator
    • DRYSOL® Solution – moisten a cotton ball or apply with fingers
  • Wash the treated areas with soap and water the next morning

*Please refer the Package Insert for complete instructions for use

DRYSOL® can sometimes cause irritation if applied on broken or recently shaved skin. If applied correctly and mild itching, burning, prickling, or tingling of the treated area occurs, discontinue use and consult a doctor. They may recommend that you use a lower strength like DRYSOL® Mild, or an alternate treatment for your condition.
